As you know I am moving and I am decluttering- 450 sq feet for 9 people doesn't leave a lot of storage space.
Anyway , to that end, I am going thru my belongings and deciding what I really have to have.
For the kitchen area- I have decided, of course, that my food storage goes. And some pots and pans. My parents are gifting us with 3 different sizes of cast iron skillets and a cast iron dutch oven. I am taking my canning equipment and my 2 big copper bottomed stock pots, as well as an all copper pot made in Portugal.
I am also taking my non electric juicer (my children LOVE this thing, we make homemade lemonade twice a week) and my potato mashers. Of course my wooden spoons. My cast iron corn muffin pan- all the muffins are shaped like ears of corn!) and my 2 ceramic heart shaped muffin pans, as well as my 3 glass loaf pans. (can I use glass in a wood burning stove?)
My blender will be replaced with a hand crank one and my popcorn maker will be replaced with a non electric one. I will add an ice cream ball to our stash.
That's it. I am tossing or giving away all else. How does one accumulate so many things?
